Mundy
Irishman Mundy was born Edmund Enright in the rural town of Birr. His journey into music has been one of solid graft.
Aged 18, Mundy moved to Dublin and started to busk on the notorious Grafton Street and at open-mic nights at nearby bars. Two years later Epic Records, a subsidiary of Sony, saw his potential and signed him to the label whereby he released To You I Bestow, his debut single on New Years Day 1996. Such was the success of his introduction it was licensed to appear on Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet.
Enright has released five albums: Jellylegs, 24 Star Hotel, Raining Down Arrows, Live and Confusion and his latest, the inspiring and buoyant Strawberry Blood.
In recent times, Mundy enjoyed huge success with his hit “Galway Girl”. He has also featured in the film, “P.S. I Love You”. Mundy will be launching his brand new album at Shenanigans and touring the country with his full band.
